Transform Your Business with Glass Blacksmith Staffing

what is remote staffing

What is it that you are offering? Or better yet, what is Remote Staffing?

We are combining two amazing fields under one virtual roof.  A staffing company, (further explained below) recruits people to be candidates as employees for your company. Here, you have financial and behavioral control over that employee.

A freelancer website provides a platform for non-employees, which you select and negotiate a fee for their service, which lacks several elements of that prior explained control.

Here, at Glass Blacksmith, we recruit and train the employees and once a service is requested, we'll assign them the task to complete.

There will be savings on time with regards to training, but also on resources such as computers, office or consistent hurman resource responsibility.  We'll assist with helping with all the cons of an employee while also minimizing all the cons of a freelancer contractor.

Pros and Cons of employee vs free lancer contractor

 Pros of Hiring an Employee:

  1. Long-Term Commitment: Employees are more likely to be dedicated and invested in the company’s goals, providing stability.
  2. Control: Employers have more control over employees' schedules, processes, and output compared to freelancers.
  3. Team Integration: Employees can integrate fully into the company culture and collaborate more closely with other team members.
  4. Skill Development: Employees can grow within the company, gaining skills that benefit the business in the long term.
  5. Consistency: Full-time employees typically provide more consistent work output and availability than freelancers.

Cons of Hiring an Employee:

  1. Higher Costs: Employees come with higher fixed costs, including salaries, benefits, insurance, taxes, and other overhead expenses.
  2. Administrative Burden: Managing payroll, compliance with labor laws, and benefits requires administrative resources.
  3. Limited Flexibility: Hiring an employee locks the company into a long-term commitment, which may not be ideal for short-term or fluctuating projects.

Pros of Hiring a Freelancer Contractor:

  1. Cost-Effective: Freelancers are often cheaper in the short term, as businesses do not need to provide benefits, office space, or pay for downtime.
  2. Flexibility: Freelancers can be hired on a project-by-project basis, making them ideal for short-term or specialized tasks.
  3. Access to Expertise: Freelancers typically bring specialized skills and experience, which can be beneficial for niche projects.
  4. No Long-Term Commitment: Freelancers allow companies to scale up or down quickly without long-term obligations.
  5. Lower Administrative Burden: Freelancers manage their own taxes, benefits, and insurance, reducing the administrative workload for the company.

Cons of Hiring a Freelancer Contractor:

  1. Less Control: Freelancers usually work independently, meaning the company has less control over their work processes and schedules.
  2. Limited Availability: Freelancers may not always be available when needed, especially if they juggle multiple clients.
  3. Lack of Loyalty: Freelancers might not be as invested in the company’s long-term success or culture as full-time employees.
  4. Inconsistent Work: Freelancers may not provide the same level of consistency in work quality or time commitment as full-time employees.
  5. Confidentiality Risks: Freelancers may work with multiple clients, which could raise concerns about confidentiality or conflict of interest.

First, what is a staffing company?

A staffing company (or staffing agency) helps businesses find and hire employees by acting as an intermediary between employers and job seekers. They recruit, screen, and match candidates to job openings, offering temporary, permanent, or temp-to-hire placements based on the needs of the business. Staffing companies save time for businesses by handling recruitment processes and often manage payroll for temporary staff, providing flexibility and reducing hiring risks. Many agencies specialize in specific industries, ensuring they provide highly qualified candidates efficiently.

Freelancer Website

A freelancer website is an online platform that connects businesses or individuals with freelance professionals who offer a wide range of services, such as graphic design, writing, programming, marketing, and more. These platforms allow clients to post projects or jobs, which freelancers can then bid on or apply for. Freelancers create profiles showcasing their skills, experience, and portfolios, while clients can review ratings and feedback before hiring. Freelancer websites streamline the hiring process by offering communication tools, secure payment systems, and sometimes project management features, making it easier for clients to find skilled workers for short-term or project-based work.
